1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the services provided by Lightman Streams, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
2. Service Description
Lightman Streams provides stream hosting services that allow clients to broadcast audio content over the internet using SHOUTcast and/or Icecast protocols. The service may include bandwidth limits (listener capacity), storage allocation, and technical support features.
3. Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If your service plan permits (e.g., L and AUTO-DJ plans), you may update your credentials as specified in your service documentation.
4. Payments and Billing
You agree to pay all fees as outlined in our pricing plans. Payments are billed on a recurring basis. Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or termination of your services.
5. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content broadcast via your stream. You must ensure that your content complies with applicable laws, including copyright and broadcasting regulations. Lightman Streams does not monitor or verify content legality and assumes no liability for content broadcasted by users.
6. AUTO-DJ Usage Policy
- 6.1 Clients using AUTO-DJ plans must not modify settings under the "Broadcasting" and "AUTO-DJ" tabs in the Station Profile without prior approval.
- 6.2 Any configuration changes must align with our operational guidelines to ensure stable performance.
- 6.3 Lightman Streams reserves the right to audit and adjust AUTO-DJ settings to maintain server efficiency and fair usage across all clients.
7. DDoS Attacks and Security Incidents
Lightman Streams is not responsible for distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, flooding, or other malicious activities targeting customer streams by third parties.
In the event that a customer's stream becomes the target of an attack that impacts server stability or affects other customers, Lightman Streams reserves the right to:
- Temporarily suspend the affected stream to protect infrastructure integrity
- Terminate service if attacks persist
- Provide a pro-rated refund for unused service time
We will make reasonable efforts to mitigate attacks, but as a small operation, we cannot guarantee protection against determined attackers. Customers are encouraged to resolve conflicts that may lead to targeted attacks independently.
Lightman Streams operates independently of Linden Lab and Second Life. Issues related to our services should be directed to us, not to Linden Lab support.
8. Service Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service with cause and following reasonable notice, especially in cases of non-payment, misuse, or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
9. Technical Support
Support is available to all clients and is provided as part of the hosting service. We do not provide support for third-party software, hardware, or external configurations outside the scope of our platform.
10. Changes to Terms and Services
Lightman Streams may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes via established communication channels (e.g., Second Life, Discord, Facebook).
We also reserve the right to modify or discontinue any aspect of the service, provided reasonable notice is given.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lightman Streams shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use our services, including but not limited to the broadcasting of unlicensed or copyrighted content.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable local regulations.
